1930s "1st Batt Fire Dept." car by Marx. Pressed Steel windup, with siren and electric lights. The windup works, but it's kind of weak and I didn't want to wind it too tightly. When it runs slowly, the siren sounds more like an engine growl, but it does work. I'm not sure about the electric lights, since I did not have the proper bulbs to test them, but the battery compartment is clean so I'm guessing they could be made to work. If I buy the new bulbs (available online for about 12 bucks each), I will add that to the cost of the car. But for now, being offered without bulbs and no guarantee that they'll light up.
This is a solid old pressed steel car weith plenty of play wear, paint loss on fenders and roof, and some surface corrosion on the passenger side running board. It's not perfect, but I've seen a lot worse. Looks great on the shelf!!
